Archive photos
Many more photographs are taken of activities and exhibits at quarterly meetings. outing and seminars than can possibly be published in the Bulletin. So here we will have most of the photos taken during the year. They are grouped into "Albums" but not otherwise labelled ( it's too much work!!) .

For your information - the photos originated as Picture CD images.or enprints, or digital camera files. Prints have been scanned at 75dpi (where necessary) and most are reduced to fit inside a 1200x800 block. They are saved as JPEG images at a compression to give a file size of about 80K or for the revived Past Masters to less than 10K. A few are larger than this to enhance detail or if they took my fancy! The photo numbers have no significance except to distinguish between them within an album



These photos are deliberately reproduced at low resolution and are unsuitable for printing.

Instructions for using the new gallery

When you click on the link below you will open the new gallery page. You will be presented with thumbnails listing all the Albums of Photos currently loaded.as in the example below

When you click on your choice you will find a photo strip will load at the bottom of the page (For Narrow Band Dial-up access you may find this a little slow - but be patient!.)

Click on any item in the photo strip to have it load full size. Alternatively Click on the "Right Arrow" (VCR) symbol and a slide show will begin. The arrow will become a "Pause" button. The "Magnify" button will enlarge the current photo to its original size (usually not much larger UNLESS I have chosen a particularly impressive photo to load at large size)

Clicking the "Spanner" symbol will open up a toolkit window on theleftwhere you can play with the slideshow settings and navigate around the new gallery albums.
